Unified Funding System (UFS)
A new funding system is to be implemented under the Reform of Vocational Education (RoVE). SELMA has been working alongside the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) to develop numerous projects related to RoVE and to facilitate the successful integration of new reporting requirements under the Unified Funding System.
Industry Training Register (ITR)
The ITR has been developed to collect trainee and apprenticeship data from institutions that receive funding through the Industry Training Fund. SELMA offers comprehensive ITR functionality and the option to run SDR and ITR students alongside each other without any limitations or restrictions.
Single Data Return (SDR)
The SDR is an electronic database of student enrolment and completion information required by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the TEC. In order to receive funding, an SDR must be completed, so accuracy is essential. SELMA has been integrated with the SDR database since 2017. Our support team can answer all SDR related questions and strong reporting functionality within SELMA allows you to track your performance 24/7.
New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA)
SELMA offers a wide range of functions and reporting features relating to NZQA. You can import unit standard files, student records of achievement and report on unit standards and qualification completions. SELMA also has powerful workflows around the cross-editing of unit standards.
National Student Index (NSI)
The National Student Index (NSI) is the New Zealand education sector’s core database of student identity data and used to allocate National Student Numbers (NSN). In SELMA, the NSI interface is included in your student screen and access levels can be controlled based on your organizational structure. You can generate new NSNs, update existing records and import all data into SELMA.
Literacy and Numeracy for Adults Assessment Tool (LNAAT)
LNAAT is designed to assess and provide reliable information on the reading, writing, numeracy and vocabulary skills of adults to professional educators, associated with a group of learners. Information exchanged between SELMA and LNAAT is extremely useful to education providers who require a comprehensive reporting solution. You can generate cohorts, students and teachers in LNAAT from a SELMA batch file and then import progress reports back to SELMA.
Public Trust
SELMA allows you to create Public Trust accounts with a one directional batch file system during the enrolment process.
